We offer crewed, full-service charters aboard an Azimut 68E – a luxuriously equipped 70-foot yacht designed and made in Italy by one of the world's most recognizable brands. The yacht can accommodate up to 14 guests and sleep 8 adults comfortably in 4 well-appointed cabins. If you're looking to entertain friends, family or clients, or explore the famous Phi Phi and Similan Islands, read more about our suggested itineraries.
Charters begin at Phuket's Ao Po Marina, about 40 minutes by taxi from Phuket Town or 30 minutes from the airport. Breakfast and lunch are available before departure and on return. See the dining section for details. All excursions are accompanied by an experienced three-man crew.
Half-day itineraries last 4 hours and include 2½ hours of engine time; full-day charters last up to 8 hours and include 5 hours' engine time. Additional engine hours can be added on request. While it's possible to visit the Similan and Surin Islands as a day trip, we recommend mooring there overnight and spending at least two full days to appreciate these unique destinations. Please note that while PinnacleMarine does not hire scuba diving equipment, we can help with finding PADI-registered tour guides and everything else needed to make the most of diving-oriented charters.
Koh Mai Thon
Half-day charters give guests ample time to enjoy the company of friends and family, entertain clients and perhaps stop for a while to dine and enjoy the local dive sites. Dozens of itineraries are possible, but in general we recommend heading out to some of the islands east of Phuket. Many offer superb opportunities for snorkeling and diving, while others offer pristine beaches to lie on and relax. Koh Mai Thon is easily accessible: it's a small island with a nice sandy beach and an underwater paradise dotted with coral reefs and exotic marine life.
Koh Kai Nok
Koh Kai Nok is another "picture post card" destination, featuring golden sands and beautiful corals reefs. Like many islands in this part of Thailand, it's perfect for enthusiastic snorkelers.
Numerous options are possible for full-day charters, but a trip to the Phil Phi Islands is one of the most popular. The islands form the Mu Ko Phi Phi National Marine Park and rank alongside the Similan Islands as one of the most scenic dive locations in Thailand. Highlights include the islands' extraordinary topography, leopard sharks, underwater caves and a profusion of multi-colored coral. The variety of dive sites means that divers of all levels can enjoy this spectacular location.
Maya Bay
Maya Bay is an extremely popular site located on the southwest tip of Ko Phi Phi Leh. The bay is fringed by a semicircle of huge limestone rocks that are every bit as stunning below the water as they are above. The site became famous a few ago thanks to the Leonardo DiCaprio movie "The Beach", and these days is probably the best known snorkeling spot in the Phi Phi Islands. The site is not especially deep and therefore suitable for all diving levels, particularly beginners. Look out for lobsters along the wall of this dive site; moray eels and scorpionfish can be found hiding in the rocks. Leopard sharks can be seen too, along with small rock groupers and oriental sweetlips. This is the best dive site in Phi Phi to spot hawksbill turtles.
Losamah Bay
Losamah Bay is located on the east side of Ko Phi Phi Leh. It's a favorite destination for snorkelers as the dramatic scenery, clear blue waters and shallow coral (at depths of at depths of 2-12m) are ideal. The highlight of this dive site is a narrow 15-meter-deep canyon on the east side. The canyon is wide enough for divers to swim-through and is adorned with colorful gorgonians, soft corals and sea whips. Turtles can also be found, coming to feed on the bubble coral.
Designated a national park in 1982 and described by National Geographic as one of the best dive locations in the world, the Similan Islands consist of nine islands with amazingly clear water, giant underwater rock pinnacles, hard and soft coral garden reefs, huge boulder formations and abundant opportunities for serious photographers. For beginners and experienced divers alike, the Similan Islands are a superb destination: they offer easy diving conditions and the chance to spot turtles, clownfish, moray eels, stingrays, pufferfish, lionfish and batfish, and sometimes larger fish such as barracuda, giant manta rays and even whale sharks. Recommended dive sites are detailed below; see too the map at the bottom of the page to get an idea of the islands' geography and numerous dive sites.
Donald Duck Bay (Ko Similan)
Donald Duck Bay is a small bay at the northern end of Ko Similan and one of the most recognizable locations in the Similan Islands. It boasts a pristine beach and unique rock formations that are easy and fun to climb. Many regular cruise ships stop off here; it's the perfect place to moor up for the afternoon or night and explore. Donald Duck Bay is suitable for all levels: snorkelers, children and the elderly can all enjoy themselves here.
East of Eden (Ko Pabu)
Running along the southeastern corner of Ko Pabu, East of Eden is one of the most colorful and vibrant fringing reefs in Thailand. Featured in National Geographic, Scuba Diver magazine and numerous other publications, no visit to the Similan Islands would be complete without a dive along this site. Explore the amazing granite boulder topography and admire the profusion of gorgonian sea fans and soft corals. The site is suitable for all levels and teeming with colorful fish.
Anita's Reef (Ko Ha / Ko Miang)
Anita's Reef runs from the southern tip of Ko Ha to the western side of Ko Miang. It's a perfect introduction to diving at the Similan Islands – a photographer's paradise and one of the Similan's most popular dive sites. Conditions are ideal for divers of all levels; depths range from 5-30 meters; visibility is usually about 20 meters; currents are generally mild. The highlight of the site is a spectacular rock pinnacle that rises from the sandy bottom to a depth of 12 meters. The rock is covered with hard and soft corals, and teems with invertebrates and bony fish, with occasional visits from marine reptiles. The rock is also a superb night dive.
North Point (Ko Bangu)
This wonderful dive site is best for divers at intermediate to advanced levels; the topography consists of a cluster of huge granite boulders scattered north of island 9. Whale sharks and manta rays are sometimes seen here; humphead wrasse can be spotted on most occasions. Schools of barracuda swim around a little way from the rocks; fusiliers and surgeonfish are other colorful sights. Moray eels are common, and even ribbon eels are sighted from time to time.
Thai cuisine is rightly considered one of the world's finest, and by prior arrangement we are pleased to offer a selection of dishes that reflect its diversity and uniqueness. Lunch and breakfast menus are available: lunch includes Thai and western choices; breakfast is western only Please contact us in advance for more information about on-board dining.
Our Azimut 68E is a superb example of this iconic brand's craftsmanship, elegance and attention to detail. The yacht is ideal for diving expeditions, entertaining or just leisurely exploring the Andaman. On-board accommodation consists of three double staterooms and a twin-bed cabin. All charters are accompanied by a three-man crew with years of experience in navigating local waters.
